A sweet note from our littlest daughter to her older sister (anticipating a weekend away for mom) recognizing her sister braves separation anxiety resulting from her hospitalization 18 months earlier.

“Dear Big Sister,

I have sumthen for you so yu doot git anckis wen mom levs.

Love, Your Little Sister”

(Let me translate: “I have something for you, so you don’t get anxious when mom leaves.”)

The something - her most prized possessions - her unicorns. However, I am told the bigger one is on borrow for only two days…laughs…

I was not aware of this gift - it was given quietly and simply amongst sisters. My heart swelled when it was discovered. Love…it is truly that simple.
